Message Body:
Hi, Barbara.
Sounds like you are still in IP chemo treatment cycles.
I was diagnosed in March 2003 with Ovarian cancer, stage III. I had two large tumors on my ovaries. Had a rather thorough surgery and 6 chemo treatments. Went into second look surgery knowing there was another tumor elsewhere. That was removed and started 6 rounds of chemo with one being IV and the other, IP. That ended in April of 2004. That seemed to take a lot more out of me than the 1st go around. The side effects were not too bad, thanks to drugs, but I was extremely tired. But, as of now, I am cancer-free and my stamina has returned. So take heart, that too shall pass for you.
I am also glad to be under care at JH, and especially Dr. Bristow. I'm thankful to my gynocologist for setting me up with the Kelly Oncologic group, and mostly grateful to my dear caregiver, my husband Vince.
