    For Our Patients

You don't have to face this disease alone.  Here at the Johns Hopkins Ovarian Cancer Center of Excellence, we want to provide you with every available opportunity to not only have the best comprehensive care, but support as well.  We recognize that not everyone has walked in your shoes - but we can help you meet someone who has.  Someone whose diagnosis was the same, treatment was the same, and challenges were the same.  We encourage you to reach out to other women who have battled ovarian cancer, either through our buddy network or on our message board.

Below is an example of how you can participate and reach out to other women who are undergoing the same challenges.

Advanced Therapies for Treating Ovarian Cancer
    A Patient Education Program

    Thursday, May 18, 2006
Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins
    Weinberg Auditorium

Our dinner program was a great success! We had approximately 60 patients and family members attend the event. Dr Ginger Gardner, Dr Deborah Armstrong and Dr Grant Zhang, along with Janice Paulshock, our ovarian cancer survivor (featured with her family in the above photo), all spoke at this dinner program. The feedback was overwhelming and we plan to have more dinner programs such as this one hopefully in the near future, so stay tuned!
