Buddy Network
Having the opportunity to talk and spend time with other ovarian cancer survivors who have previously undergone the same treatment regimen you are about to begin is very important. We have a team of survivor volunteers who make themselves available to be “matched” with newly diagnosed patients. Matching is based on age at time of diagnosis, stage of disease, anticipated treatment plan, and other demographic variables. They provide a wealth of knowledge and emotional support for women now facing treatment. Several survivor volunteers also come here to provide support during your visits as well as during chemotherapy and radiation. |
