We had the opportunity to help launch the first ovarian cancer center of excellence in Milan, Italy at the European Institute of Oncology on September 24, 2008. This program was modeled after our own center of excellence here at Johns Hopkins. Their hopes are to promote ovarian cancer awareness and to dedicate a center of the highest quality to the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer. We had the opportunity to speak in front of hundreds to share our visions and experiences. We hope that this collaboration will help promote other ovarian cancer centers of excellence worldwide.
